Pot size (diameter): 6 cm, Approx Height: 11 cm.

Supplied in a plastic pot. Fits our Boule Mini Plant Pot and St Tropez 8 x 8cm pot (add a few small pebbles at the bottom of the cover pot for extra height).

The Alocasia 'Dragon Scale' is a stunning plant with deep green leaves which develop even more definition with age! A truly show stopping plant - we think it pairs perfectly with our Alocasia 'Black Velvet'.

In the winter, your Alocasia could go into hibernation, causing its leaves to die back - but don't worry! It will return bigger and healthier in Spring.

Care:

Light: Bright, indirect light will produce the best colouration on the leaves, however direct light will burn the leaves and cause brown, crispy tips.

Water: Keep the plant moist but not soaking, for best results a small amount of water often. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.

Food: Feed once a month during growing season, if available a slow release food works best to not over power the soil.

Humidity: A high humidity is essential in maintaining this plant’s dramatic appearance. A decreased humidity will produce brown, crispy leaves and reduced growth.

Care tip: It is common for Alocasia to discard an old leaf after growing a new one. During the colder months your Alocasia could lose several of it's leaves or even go dormant - don't panic! It will grow back bigger and stronger in the Spring.

A Growing Baby Dragon 🐉

I bought three Alocasia in very small nursery pots so l had tantrums (as you do with babies)because they wanted a bigger home. Once rehomed everyone of them is growing a new leaf 🍃
I have had quite a lot of plants 🪴 from Moose and each and everyone has arrived healthy and gone on to grow exceptionally well.
I love the markings on the leaves and l can imagine dragon scales!
Thank you so much for my baby dragon
