Ocean Plastic Pots (4 colours)

These pots made from reclaimed and recycled plastic fishing nets are very attractive and much thicker and stronger than an ordinary plastic flowerpot. They are pricey but worth the cost because they are very good quality, they look fantastic, and how brilliant it is to get the abandoned fishing nets out of the sea and re-use them. That is true Scottish innovation, and I am so pleased to support such a worthy enterprise. I shall enjoy my pot for many years to come, and there is a matching pot saucer included as well !

True to their colour online, they’re beautiful and really brighten up the place. I also bought several other plants and pots on this order and none of them disappointed, I’d recommend Moose Plant Shop to anyone!
Sidenote: I watched a guy on YouTube who made a video talking about recycling ocean plastics, as lots of companies have claimed they’re recycling ocean plastic, but instead it’s marine plastic, meaning it can be taken from rivers, beaches, basically anywhere within a 30km radius of the coast.
I can’t say that’s true of this brand, they’re manufactured in Scotland after an environmentalist who loved marine life started gathering old nets and turning them into plant pots. It all seems really legitimate, with the supplier of the fishing nets being a group of volunteer divers who have collected over 300 tonnes of ghost fishing nets. It warmed my heart to learn there are people doing these amazing things. Even donating some of their profits to other marine conservation work. Definitely worth the £15. I bought 3!
