Potsize (diameter): 13 cm, Approx Height: 50 - 60 cm.

Supplied in a plastic pot. Fits our Alicante Plant Pot 17 x 16cm & St Tropez Plant Pot 18 x 17cm.

Due to these plants large size and the delicate nature of their leaves, it is likely that they will sustain some cosmetic damage during transit (especially to new growth which hasn't hardened off yet). We do our best to pack each plant securely but sometimes issues can occur when shipping live plants through the postal system. Please be prepared for this before purchasing.

The Calathea Zebrina (also known as the 'Zebra Plant') has incredibly soft and velvety leaves with contrasting green stripes.

Calathea are closely related to Maranta as part of the 'Prayer Plant' family, named because the leaves close upwards overnight and lay back down flat in the day.

Once you get started with Calathea, you're going to be hooked!

One of our pet friendly options for those of you with furry friends who like to nibble on your plants.

Care:

Light: Bright, indirect light will encourage the best growth. Be careful of direct light as it can burn their delicate leaves.

Water: Keep soil moist but do not let it sit in water, it is recommended that you use rain or filtered water if you have hard tap water to avoid crispy edges.

Food: Feed with a weak solution once or twice a month during the growing season.

Humidity: These plants need high humidity to keep the leaves from crisping and to promote growth. Use the pebble tray method or mist but ideally place close by to a humidifier.

Quick Tip: Avoid placing in drafts.
