Pot size (diameter): 17 cm, Approx Height: 50cm

Supplied in a plastic pot.

One of our pet friendly options for those of you with furry friends who like to nibble on your plants!

In comparison to it’s full size counterpart, the Dwarf Banana Plant will reach a maximum of 1-2 metres high and is much more practical to keep as an indoor houseplant.

The Musa Tropicana has gorgeous, large, paddle-shaped leaves with striking purple colouration in the centre. The fast-growing Dwarf Banana Plant thrives in bright light so would love to be positioned in a conservatory or south facing window.

If you fancy, you can grow your Dwarf Banana Plant outside during the summer months and then bring it back inside during the winter, just make sure that you keep its delicate leaves sheltered from the wind.

It is worth mentioning that the Musa’s leaves are quite delicate and have a tendency to tear or even snap under their own weight - this is perfectly normal and all part of their organic appearance.

If all that wasn't enough to convince you that this is the plant for you, it even has strong air purifying abilities! All whilst adding a jungle vibe to even the smallest city flat.

Can handle temperatures as low as 10°C, but avoid placing in draughts.

Looking for something a bit smaller? how about our 12cm option.

Care:

Light: Grows best in a well lit area with indirect sunlight. Will tolerate lower light conditions but will stunt growth and reduce colouration on the leaf.

Water: Water regularly during growing season, wait until top portion has dried before watering again. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.

Food: Feed twice monthly during the growing season but not during winter.

Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity. A low humidity will cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
