Supplied in a plastic pot. Fits our Alicante Plant Pot  11 x 10cm (add a few small pebbles at the bottom of the cover pot for extra height).

PLEASE NOTE: Pot contents will vary from images, each selection is unique in size, colour and quantity of Lithops.

Other nicknames for Lithops are: 'Flowering Stones', 'Pebble Plants', 'Split Rocks', 'Cattle Hooves' and the less subtle 'Little Butts'.

If you're looking for a pet rock with a bit more responsibility, then look no further! These odd little guys are the marmite of the plant community, you either love them or you hate them.

Lithops produce new leaves by shedding the previous layer, their tops will shrivel and dry up, don't panic! this is normal and they will soon reveal a fresh new set of leaves underneath. During this time avoid watering (new growth usually follows after a period of dormancy).

Like other succulents, you are most at risk of damaging this plant by overwatering it. Resist the urge to over-care for your Lithops, allow them to dry out completely between waterings.

Lithop flowers come in white, yellow and orange. They usually go dormant after flowering in order to save  energy before their next growth spurt and leaf shedding.

Looking for something a bit smaller? how about our 5cm option.

Care:

Light: Bright sunlight will promote even growth, vibrant colours and bold patterns.

Water: Avoid watering in Summer unless they become very wrinkled (in which case give them a small amount of water), this is their dormant period and they will not grow.

Water thoroughly at the start of Autumn when you notice the first signs of fresh growth or a flower developing. For the rest of this season water when the soil is completely dry.

Avoid watering in winter whilst your Lithops are shedding their old leaves.

Resume a normal watering schedule in spring, allowing the soil to dry out.

Food: Not a requirement but if you choose to; use a light cacti fertiliser in Spring.

Humidity: Will thrive in low humidity.

Fantastic packing

I was worried about ordering plants on line but all my plants were Received in perfect condition without any soil falling out of the pot. I ordered from several online plant stores and this shop packaging was the back. I would definitely recommend this store.

Fantastic

We ordered 10 plants from Moose and they were all healthy and all arrived in perfect condition. Not a single dropped leaf, even from picky/delicate succulents. The lithops are exactly as pictured in the listing and are still doing well.
