The Monstera Standleyana is also known as the 'Cobra Plant'. This uncommon houseplant has long, thin leaves splattered with spots and patches or variegation. A popular choice for expanding your indoor houseplant collection, especially if you're looking for a something low maintenance!
The plants we have available are very dense with many different growth points.
Level of variegation will vary from plant to plant.
Care:
Light: Tolerant of medium light to bright indirect light, however too much light can cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
Water: In the summer keep the soil moist, water when the 1/3 of the soil dries out, they are more tolerant of being underwatered than over watered (leaves will turn yellow when overwatering occurs). In winter cut back on watering and allow to dry out before fully saturating the soil.
For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.
Food: Use a high nitrogen fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Humidity: Benefits most being in a high humidity environment, however is tolerant of a normal household humidity. Low humidity can cause brown, crispy tips.
