Opuntia or ‘Prickly Pear Cactus’ are characterised by their wide and flat pads which grow out from the top of the cacti. Also known as the ‘Bunny Ear Cactus’. As it matures it will grow more pads from the top and steadily gain in height.
Care:
Light: Bright indirect light will promote the best growth. Can also withstand direct sunlight.
Water: Only water once the soil is completely dry then give a heavy water.
Food: Not a requirement but if you choose to; use a light cacti fertiliser.
Humidity: Will thrive in a normal home humidity but will also tolerate dry air.
