You would expect a plant this spectacular and flamboyant to be a nightmare to care for, but its actually the opposite! If you are a seasoned plant killer then this is the solution for you. It needs very little attention and is incredibly tolerant to neglect, low light and irregular watering.
With stripes of vivid yellow running through the classic heart leaf shape of a Philodendron, the 'Brasil' is a showstopper where ever it is. You can let its vines cascade down a bookcases or flow out of a hanging pot, or add a pole for it to climb up.
The perfect low maintenance plant for starting or expanding your indoor jungle.
Light: Tolerant of low light to bright indirect light but grows best in a medium light for the largest leaves with the best colours.
Water: Tolerant to inconsistent watering. Prefers the soil moist at all times, water when the top of the soil dries out. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.
Food: Feed 2 - 3 times during the growing season but not during winter.
Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity.
