Pinguicula or 'Butterworts' are a type of flowering Carnivorous plant with sticky leaves that are helpful in catching fungus gnats and other flying insects!

A great first step in to the carnivorous world - these plants are relatively low maintenance as long as you remember to keep them moist and provide them with enough light!

Due to the sticky substance coating their leaves, they also have a tendency to get a bit of loose soil stuck to their leaves after going through transit. Be very gentle when attempting to remove this.

Care:

Light: Bright light is needed to thrive (can withstand a few hours of direct light).

Water: Water with rain or distilled water. Prefers the soil to be kept consistently moist - do not allow the plant to dry out completely. We recommend water trays to water from the bottom to avoid any mould issues with consistently damp top soil.

Feed: Use a diluted or Carnivourous plant feed during the growing season.

Humidity: Prefer to be kept in a humid environment, making them ideal for terrariums or other humid spaces such as bathrooms.
