These large Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma are DENSE, really full plants with plenty of propagation potential!
An easy care plant which loves to be in a sunny spot and isn't too fussy about being under watered, the Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma is also often referred to as Monstera Minima/Piccolo & Mini Swiss Cheese Plant.
It's leaves are much smaller than the regular Swiss Cheese Plant, but they still have the iconic fenestrations which make them so popular. The Monstera Minima loves to climb (usually a little wonky) you can help it out by supporting it with a bamboo cane or moss pole. The higher it climbs, the larger its leaves will grow!
These plants are not fans of being left in cold drafts and may suffer yellowing leaves as a result of this. Yellowing leaves may also result from cold in transit, cut back the leaves and your plant will continue to grow.
Light: Bright indirect light will make the plant the happiest but also tolerant of a few hours of direct light. Will grow quicker in brighter light.
Water: In the summer keep the soil moist, water when the top 2/3 soil dries out, however more tolerant of being underwatered than over watered (leaves will turn yellow when overwatering occurs). In winter cut back on watering and allow to dry out before fully saturating the soil.
For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.
Food: Use a high nitrogen fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Humidity: Benefits most being in a high humidity environment, however is tolerant of a normal household humidity.
