A really wonderful plant for if you're just getting started with your collection, the Dypsis Lutescens is very versatile with the conditions it will be happy in and isn't overly sensitive to a little neglect.
Please be aware, these plants have dark speckled covering their stems - this is completely normal.
This plant has many different nicknames: Golden Cane Palm, Areca Palm, Yellow Palm, Butterfly Palm, or Bamboo Palm.

An easy-care, low maintenance houseplant which is perfect for beginners. Pop on a shelf and forget about it!
Care:
Light: Content in a variety of lighting conditions from low light through to bright, indirect. Higher light levels will encourage much faster growth and require more regular watering.
Water: Water when the top 2/3 of the soil is dry. Water more regularly in warmer months but do not allow to sit in water.
Feed: Feed lightly once a month during growing season, this plant is prone to getting brown tips from over feeding.
Humidity: Happy in normal home humidity or high humidity. Low humidity may cause brown crispy tips.
QUICK TIP: Keep this plant in a relatively small pot to help prevent over watering.
Avoid drafts.
