The Echinocactus Grusonii 'Golden Barrel Cactus' is also known as 'Golden Ball' or 'Mother-in-law's Cushion' (ouch). Looking like he rolled straight out of a wild west movie, this cactus is a real statement piece with it's impressive size.
An easy care plant that will give you maximum impact for minimum effort.
The 'Golden Barrel Cactus' is actually considered endangered in its native home of Mexico.
Suitable for in the home or conservatory.
Due to the rigid nature of these larger cacti, they are likely to have some callouses or old battle scars - we think this adds to their character!
Care:
Light: Bright indirect light will promote the best growth. Can withstand direct sunlight.
Water: Only water once the soil is completely dry then give a heavy water.
Food: Not a requirement but if you choose to; use a light cacti fertiliser.
Humidity: Will thrive in a normal home humidity but will also tolerate dry air.
