Opuntia or ‘Prickly Pear Cactus’ are characterised by their wide and flat pads which grow out from the top of the cacti. Also known as the ‘Bunny Ear Cactus’.
This particular crested variety has new growths which emerge with much more varied and unusual shapes which look quite spectacular when mature. We love that each plant is completely unique!
A low maintenance plant with a wacky appearance, perfect for beginners.
Care:
Light: Bright indirect light will promote the best growth. Older plants can withstand direct sunlight.
Water: Only water once the soil is completely dry then give a heavy water.
Food: Not a requirement but if you choose to; use a light cacti fertiliser.
Humidity: Will thrive in a normal home humidity but will also tolerate dry air.
