The Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' is a highly sought after plant with brilliant tangerine coloured leaves. New leaves emerge in the bold orange colour that earned this plant its name, then slowly fade to a yellow then green.
These plants are beautiful and full, with at least two plants per pot (usually one larger one and a younger plant growing beside it). Get this guy checked off your wish list, you won't be disappointed!
Care:
Light: Tolerant of medium light to bright indirect light, however too much light can cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
Water: Keep the soil moist at all times, water when the top ⅓ portion of soil dries out. For best results water from underneath with the use of a saucer to reduce the chance of root rot. Reduce watering during winter months.
Food: Feed monthly during the growing season but not during winter.
Humidity: High humidity will produce a happier plant but will tolerate a normal household humidity. A low humidity will cause brown, crispy tips on the leaves.
